about

Remixes are not quite "remixes", the way I approach them. Many like to take the original and add onto it, or chop it up, or screw it (or screw it up lol), etc. Personally, I feel what I really do is simply remake them. The majority of remixes I find myself doing involves only using the a cappella (i.e. vocals) of a song, and then creating completely new music around it...as if I were the one commissioned to create the song, for the first time, and see where I can take it. It's like a competition between me vs the strength and iconic status of a well-known song and seeing if my version can even be appreciated alongside it–nah, lemme be real...I honestly try to OUTDO the original version! lol But I'm okay with people just enjoying mine as well as the original version, and maybe surprising those who didn't think they could like any other version but the first one.

I originally released this collection as a b'earthday gift (on my actual bday) to celebrate my day as well as my growth as a producer over the past few years, but now I'm just going to add and update this with new remixes, and you can either have it for free or donate whatever you like to support my artistry and effort. The main reason being that I want to both respect the copyright of the original artists but also garner support for the original music that I also bring to the table, without compromising either. You can download one or more, or you can download all...your choice, your call if you wish to donate or get them all for free...all I ask is that you let others know and also support my original music.

Independent artists work hard and take a lot of grief for sacrificing much just to do what they love, and it's not easy at all (especially if it's your sole means of surviving), but many of us feel the pay-off is putting quality music out into the world the truly affects people's lives in a positive way, and eventually some of us do get to build on what we create and even leave behind a legacy.

This is one facet of mine, and I thank those who have supported me from either Day 1 or those who are starting right now...

Ahmed Sirour Brooklyn, New York

The composer brings an idea sketched out. The arranger then takes the idea and places it in the best order. The musicians execute the idea. The producer oversees it all, and the engineer captures, mixes, and masters it...and they all happen to have the same name.

Track Name: "Eleanor Rigby" - The Beatles - (Ahmed's Cold Remix)
LYRICS

I look at all the lonely people
I look at all the lonely people

Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near.
Look at him working, darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people

Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Track Name: The Fatback Band & Faith Evans - "Love Wicki Like This" (Ahmed's Mashup Remix)
I never knew there was a
Love like this before
Never had someone to show me a love
Love like this before

Now that we have, come to be
A brand new light, I can see
Never thought you'd be
A special, part of me, no baby

The reasons are because of you
I can go on and make it through
I can't even take my mind off lovin' you
And I wanna say

I never knew there was a
Love like this before
Never had someone to show me a love
Love like this before

I know, you can't see
All the things you mean to me
I'm so amazed that you are mine
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah

If we can work together
Maybe this can last forever
This is somethin' that I wanna hold on to
So baby, try to understand

Baby, try to understand
I'll be crazy if you leave
'Cause you compliment
My style

And I like the way you walk
And the sexy things you talk
You don't know just what you do to me
You see

I never knew there was a
Love like this before
Never had someone to show me a love
Love like this before

I never knew there was a
Love like this before
Never had someone to show me a love
Love like this before

Baby, try to understand
I'll be crazy if you leave
'Cause you compliment
My style

And I like the way you walk
And the sexy things you talk
You know just what you do to me
You see

Never knew a
Never knew a
Never knew a
Love like this before

Never knew a
Never knew a
Never knew a
Love like this before

I never knew there was a
Love like this before
Never had someone to show me a love
Love like this before

I never knew there was a
Love like this before
Never had someone to show me a love
Love like this before

I never knew there was a
Love like this before
Never had someone to show me a love

Track Name: "My Cherie Amour" - Stevie Wonder - (Ahmed's Wonder-FULL Remix)
LYRICS

La la la la la la
La la la la la la

My Cherie Amour, lovely as a summer's day
My Cherie Amour, distant as the Milky Way
My Cherie Amour, pretty little one that I adore
You're the only girl my heart beats for
How I wish that you were mine

In a cafe or sometimes on a crowded street
I've been near you, but you never notice me
My Cherie Amour, won't you tell me how could you ignore
That behind that little smile I wore
How I wish that you were mine

Maybe someday you'll see my face among the crowd
Maybe someday I'll share your little distant cloud
Oh, Cherie Amour, pretty little one that I adore
You're the only girl my heart beats for
How I wish that you were mine

La la la la la la
La la la la la la
